You got a lot of light inside these petals, and a lot of shadow too. In smaller view, they seem to glow. In larger view, it's a big pastiche of wild shapes overlapping each other, creating a big profusion of petal-dom. The centers---stamens and buds---are spindly and primal, in your capture. And it's all framed by leaves and wood in just the right proportions. I love your 3-tone purple border too...Full size, this is a big bristling morass of shapes and lights and hues, a real eye feast.
