http://longleafpine.org/ Taller than any I have experienced, these noble remnants of our past are nearly a memory, as the buffalo and wolf, from a time when Nature ruled and flourished in an uncharted wilderness. At well over 100 feet in height, their majestic canopy shields the coastal floor and provide homes for numerous forms of wildlife. Eventually, I hope to get an outside cam in place and record some of the activity. ... hoping that they thrive (as long as I am underneath :)
