Description

Has it really been that long since I posted? Six months!!! I have been so busy trying to get my new book and my comic written that I guess I forgot to render stuff. I'm at an impasse though. I was able to finally get Athine, the comic form, in print! For those of you just now tuning into my inane ramblings, I am an author. I turned to Poser and Studio years ago for a solution to book covers. I was "self publishing" before it was a big thing and back then there was no easy access to stock covers or artists; so, I had to find some way to create my own. Enter my obsession with the 3D art. Now, eight years later, I continue to expand the usefulness of my programs by making a comic adaptation of my series The Daughter of Ares Chronicles. (In addition to all the other art I make with the programs and the 40 gigs of "stuff" I own!) My problem is that I did almost everything with the V4 characters I collected from here. My covers, my promotional art, even the first installment of my comic. But I REALLY want to use G3/G2. I love my V4, don't get me wrong, but I also love G3 and those expressions! I've loved G3 so much, that most of the clothes and characters I have purchased in the last few years are for Genesis 2 or 3. So, that is what today's post is about. My original characters next to my new rendition of them. I would like to get some thoughts from others about them. Do you think they will do if they are true to the story? Has anyone else ever just switched based models in their long term art? Do people really care if you change the look of the character a few times or am I just being an odd duck worrying about it? And yes, I know I could buy the GenX2 thingy from DAZ and transfer the morphs to G3, but 60 bucks for the entire set is a little much for me at the moment...and it never seems to be on sale LOL. Picture From left to right: Athine, main character (left side picture). Original concept is on the far left with the silver halter top. G3 is on the right. V4 is MDD Zara from here with SAV Greek Fantasy Hair II. G3 is Akimitsu from DAZ with SAV Greek Fantasy Hair II. This is the one I worry about the most. She's on everything. Andraste, a major character (middle). G2 version on the left and original V4 on the right. V4 is Eiryn from here. G2 is Maia at DAZ. Harmonia, main character (ride side picture). V4 original is on the far right in the blue dress. She is Bibiane from here. G3 version is MRL Willow from DAZ. Comments are appreciated :)

Instead of sticking to one character, why not use both? The one for a render it is suited for, and the other for a render that one is suited for? It increases your possibilities. Good luck! :-)
