You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia, if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !** that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

A shoe box ??? wow, they must have been a pair of very trippy shoes !...LOL
Yeah, I know, I know it's just the funky postwork effects...but you know me, always the comedian anyhow, it makes a great artwork and also a cool home for those old letters.
So neat work BB & ~Cheers~

Very nice use of colors for these silhouettes, cool work, Brigitte!

Ooooo, love the colors, silhouettes, and familiar patterns.
This is my home away from home. Grew up just 20 miles east of there. We are going to visit up that way next October but are going to miss NYC since we are going to do a New England trip to visit a bunch of ancestors in scattered old cemeteries in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and on the eastern tip of Long Island, New York. Genealogy gets you going in odd directions.

Beautiful work. The sky almost looks like water. Well, water with purple ripples. But the pattern kind of looks like a river.

Original photo work !

This is really, really cool ! ! ! Love the skyline and all the color ! ! !
Believe me, I know about procrastination. Just ask the taxman !!! But, the thing with us procrastinators is that we always find a little forgotten treasure every time we rediscovered something old that's been out of site for years !!!! It's like Deja Vu all over again !!!!! Keep the memories but pitch the baggage, that's what I say !!!.
If you ever do make it to New York, go via Cincinnati and you can show me how you resuscitate wine ! ! ! ! !

Fantastic, BB-chen, for me this is as a storm at see, a really lively image, with great contrasting colours. You have the fantasy of a young girl, what you are of course

unlike Bill, I didn't grow up in NYCity, but I lived there several months, and visited it many times over a 5 or 6 year period. It's changed a lot since then, but it's still a stunning, crowded, maddening, brilliant, teeming place, and you caught its spirit in the skyline---esp with the statue of liberty on the left, seeming to protect it. You handled the pinks so well---they swirl out from the statue and then swirl back---really good design here. And the other end has a slate, muddy blue, in real contrast to the pinks. And 2 greens, also in real contrast to the pinks. Lots of flat colors here, real "print" stuff. This is a really strong image, Brigitte, and it upholds my sense that you're a really fine design artisi. All from a shoebox---bravo!
I'm at 40 minutes in your gallery (and 7 images, I think), so I have to move on. I have only a few left, to catch up; but I'll do that next time. I want to make some other visits before I step down tonight (or tomorrow), so I'll leave here for now. Great stuff---I'd seen all these, but I didn't comment on any of them. Terrific work and imagination. I hope all is well with you, as winter winds down. Hope you're doing well!
