Description
took this today in my yard.
yesterday my air conditioner was not dropping the temperature and I checked the compressor noting the freon lines were not hot and cold. I came in and removed the panel to view the coil. it was iced up, so I defrosted the ice and it started functioning. I had called a service company and they told me that the coil was more than likely leaking freon since it has corrosion . when I bought the unit 7 years ago the (#%$$$&&#@) company installed a steel framed coil and I knew from experience when I was working for a chain of stores that steel coils are bad news.
well, I have bad news and what could have been worse news. to change the coil would be $1400 . well the not so worse part is I have a 10 years warranty on the entire unit. without it the price would be $3400.00. even $1400 could be put to use for a better purpose like applying on a new lense for my camera.
tomorrow they will come hopefully early to replace the coil. they must pump the system down and reclaim the freon. braze the new coil into place with replacing a couple of other components. then recharge the system

Sounds like bad news about your AC, hopefully they will fix it quickly. Great capture and the cool lady bug!

I saw this on Rendo's NoW video and wondered who had taken it, great colours. Good luck with the a/c.

And I was suspecting her bathing in a vat of chlorine spot remover! Silly me, should have known better. Hope you have some good luck for a change, when it comes to the air conditioner. Keep up the good work! More interesting / surprising bugs? :-)

Glad you had a warranty! Winder if the spotted lady bugs shun the spotless one. Hope not! I love lady bugs.

Dang, that's a big ouch about the coil! That 1400 bucks could have bought a really nice lens, indeed... Hopefully the repair will keep you cool for a good many years. Great shot of the ladybug, and congrats on it making the splash image on Rendo's News, Richard!

Nice capture and the bug is sweating too! when we were in oklahoma my husband had to fix several airconditioners in our neighbourhood! and in pensylvania we had none so I cried one night and slept in the shower with running water 😁
