Description
This is the 3Delight render version of "Day at the beach." I posted this version so that people could compare the two different renders using different render engines to render the same scene. They are, of course, very different. But I worked with the scene to provide as much of the same look in the two versions as possible. I tried to maintain the same type of shadowing and lighting. And because the two renderers use different lighting models, I had to tweak things like the gloss and bump map settings accordingly on the girl's skin to achieve the same kind of effects in the render.
Viewers can decide which version they like better. All comments are welcome.
Update: I discovered that there is a way I could improve the quality of this image by lowering the shading rate and raising the number of pixel samples. So have reposted the same image at better quality.
