someone has been stacking driftwood .
people shooting people or murder in any way is deplorable.
limiting gun control is deplorable.
I wonder if the gop will reconsider limiting assault rifles now
too bad it had to bite them , but will big money win over limiting gun control again?

If it's like every other news cycle, you hear the talk about gun control after a tragedy and then it goes away until the next tragedy. It's mind-numbing.

The thumbnail suggested wanton shooting of dinosaurs. But the big image suggests a rampant hungry T. Rex or spinosaurus leaving half its kill behind for another days feeding. Keep up the good work. :-)

So-called "assault weapons" only look different than ordinary hunting guns; they work exactly the same way. And would it really have made any difference if he'd used an 1873 Winchester instead? Or a Cookson repeater from 1760?
According to FBI crime statistics, more people are murdered with clubs every year than with rifles of any kind. The ban you want would do nothing except punish millions of innocent gun owners while having no impact whatsoever on violent crime. This is not speculation; that's exactly what happened with the last ban.

What we really need is 'people control.' The sad state of our society is due to so many things it's hard to blame one thing. As a whole, our society has no concept of self-control. People watch crap on TV like Jerry Springer, and soon come to believe the behavior of the idiots on Springer - or any other "reality" show - is normal. There are many other variables to be sure, and some form of control is needed, but if someone decides to kill or injure someone else, they will use whatever weapon is at hand.
