Thank you so much for showing and sharing this...'striking monument', I would have never seen this, unless I traveled to the US... and when I do, I shall visit this gigantic 'sculpture' - it opened my eyes [here in Australia] so sad, 😢 but it also spells out 'there is hope again' ! a fine capture indeed...

I was there in june 2004. There was only a hole with no water. A very sad atmosphere.

Too bad you didn't get a photo at that time. It would have been a dreary contrast to the finished memorial.
