as history tells it, Native Americans was first. others claim it was Vikings. the Native Americans stayed put so they are the first Americans. very good portraits

I was thinking about that... the Americas were named after Amerigo Vespucci, an Italian, somewhere in the late 1400's... but the inhabitants had already been here for something like 15,500 years... so isn't it a little off to call them Americans, first or otherwise. I think too much.
