We call it Campanula Portenschlagiana. This info is from the RHS website Vigorous and fast-spreading, Campanula Portenschlagiana, also known as Campanula Muralis, is a low-growing perennial which forms a dense, evergreen mat of foliage adorned with a mass of bell-shaped violet coloured blooms. Planting Campanula Portenschlagiana is the perfect way to suppress weeds and establish ground cover whilst also creating a striking display in beds and rockeries - it can even spread over walls! It is this versatility, coupled with its reliability, strong resistance to pests and intense purple flower colour which has earned this popular Campanula variety the prestigious and much-deserved RHS Award of Garden Merit. Flowers from May to August reaching mature heights of 15cm.

Beautiful capture. I like the contrast between the flowers and the wall very much. Well done.

Lovely shot of these flowers.

Context is everything. A field of flowers in bright light is beautiful but the same flowers in partial shade with a great background is a work of art. A gorgeous image.

A brilliant display of natures resources and the colour is so vibrant, in contrast to the stonewall - it almost feels, as if one can touch it, that what photography is all about ! top marks
