Newsgirl Kelsey’s hunt for a much feared gangster has led from a basement bar to a back alley in a warehouse district of Chicago. It is close to position - a possible hangout - where her editor had pointed on the map inside the newspaper office. When she auditioned for a job as a singer at the basement bar, the bartender casually mentioned that ‘the boss’ might like to see her and gave her directions to this alley telling her to wait until dark and look for the green door. She has found the alley and sees a light on at a green door. A man is standing there holding a Tommy gun. She is pretty scared now but it is too late to turn back.
