Description
A vanishing species, captured back on 6/21/2011, at the beautiful Aquarium of the Pacific in beautiful Long Beach, California. I believe that is a bat ray at the upper left in the top photo.
Went for two visits that year and took tons/tonnes of pics, many under very difficult conditions.
Can't continually limit my postings to neighborhood flatbed trucks and other vehicles, so I thought I would return to yesteryear for something different.

impressive and stunning capture and scary also because I cannot breath under water 😉 you asked for the cloud factory, Harry: you missed the description in the posting of "Cloud Factory" and " Cloud Factory 2", have a look in my gallery some postings back and read the explanation 😃

Well I'm at 45 minutes, and I have to move on. (Normally I'd do a couple of hours, but I can't do that right now unfortunately.) I promised to do at least one marine shot, and even though this is the first of many, it blew my eyes out of my head when you first posted it, so it's as good a place as any to start.
These are almost paintings, and I love the light here, and the chimera, make-believe effect of the fish and the water. And the way the light lights-up the rocks. It's like a dream. The first shot has deep beautiful blues, and the lit-up fish contrast with the shadows beautifully. That swath of aqua-blue in the upper left (the water) is beautiful. The lower shot is more in flatter and in more grayish blues, and it almost looks like a graphic design: It's just splendid. 2 great underwater 'abstracts'. This whole series has all kinds of beauty in it, but you sure started it with a bang. (I've seen everything here, as you posted it.) Wonderful work, Harry. And yes, this was a perfect side-trip from your other many offerings...
