Now I can make a really upbeat comment after setting the contrast yesterday. With the wooden canopy this wakes me up to the day in Long Beach Los Altos when I saw steel poles being set into the concrete and the owner boasted to me, "I'm getting canopies!" They were huge steel skirted disks up over each set of pumps when they were delivered and went up a few days later. That was between 1967 and 1971 probably 1967 before my first son was born. This one in the East and in Canada gives a sympathetic urge to the time before they all became just self-serve convenience stores after 1973.

Looks a bit rundown, great view and capture!

I like this Ken. Your postwork efforts have created a mood to go along with this almost derelict old gas station. Looks like the pumps are long gone...but the satellite TV dish on the sidewall gives me pause. It'd be fun to take a series of old gas stations as we travel.

Very dramatic capture, especially with the dark brooding sky, gives a sinister feel, like Bates Motel...or Bates Garage !
Great find and capture Ken.

wow how dramatic is this! outstanding presentation in b/w makes the scene creepy like in a movie when the evil comes! the clouds are fascinating and the station has a bit of nostalgia and the pov is perfect! this capture creates a breathtaking mood! 😃 fav
