A jägmeister. Or, keeper of woods and grounds and of the kings wild life. I took this photo for the dress and for the huge dog! I didn’t try getting close. It seemed to be a watch dog. I don’t know what breed it is. Does anyone of you know?
And, no, it didn't try to bite me. In fact, a little boy went up to it and got a good face licking! But, the boy was shorter than the dog! So he apparently didn't pose a threat. But the lady kept a very firm grip on the leash!
Enjoy!
I've spent 8 days copying e-mail addresses for the boss, almost non-stop. My right arm and shoulder ache and are stiff. I'm afraid I'm getting mouse arm. I sincerely hope this will not go further and thus curtail my posts here!
Raining out today. So much for midsummer celebrations here.
I spent 3 hours on the sofa - sore shoulder and very tired. Guess who lay on top, snoring out loud! No, not Summer. Not T.Rex. But Kitty, my cat. She's now sleeping beside my computer monitor. Maximizing together time.

I believe this is an Irish or Russian wolf hound. They are indeed BIG dogs!
T.Rex
Thanks! I'll look this up!
T.Rex
Irish wolf hound, mentioned even 300 BC. Used as guard dogs and for hunting, especially wolves, whereof the name. Formidable frightening size. Thanks for the tip, Bev!

That is a big dog, but a lovely one! Good photo of him!
Hope your shoulder loosens up, buddy! You don't want to deal with carpal tunnel - I understand it can be excruciating...
T.Rex
Back of forearm, and right shoulder. Stiff and a bit of an ache. No carpal tunnel.

This is a wolfhound for sure. They are very gentle mannered and mild.

products with Emu oil can relieve such pain so one can sleep. I use it when ever I have muscle/joint pain.
reminds me of a Great Dane I had for a short time in the 60's. standing his hind legs his head was over six feet tall and weighed 175 being under weight.
great capture and I hope you get some relief quickly
