Description
It was very hot here (up to 28 degrees). Since it is good if you get some shadows in the forest.

You caught deep shadow in the very dark tree trunks, contrasted with lots of light in the background leaves: a fine high-contrast nature shot. It's as if the leaves in the background are 'on fire'. And I like that you cropped this so we get only a small amount of ground: It's enough to "root" the shot, but it gives the trees the true spotlight. A big beautiful profusion of trees and leaves, with a wonderful capture of that cooling shadow you spoke of. (We reached around 33.33, in Chicago, so I think I'd have been happy with 28, lol---though 28 is hot. Anything over 26.6 is hot...)
Christian, I'm at 40 minutes now, and at least I commented on a nice sample of your many beautiful photos. It's never easy to 'choose', because all of them are delicate, so finely chosen, cropped, postworked, etc. I see them all. Wonderful work, as always, and it's great to see spring and summer blossom through your photos. You do a great service to the area you live in; you always present it with great beauty and panache.
