Description
The Goddess of the Waters. Companion piece to Ignis Dea, because I do like to work in groups :-) This one actually came first, inspired by a photograph someone sent me.

Reminds me of a scene from the old Jason and the Argonauts film... only it was a male god. She's gorgeous!

I love the old movies... CGI can accomplish amazing things, but they can't charm like the old-style puppetry/rubber-suit/stop-motion combinations that demanded creativity from the movie, and imagination and suspension of disbelief from the viewer!

Great gallery, like this one best. Probably because she seems a bit friendlier than your fire goddess.
Misselthwaite
Thank you! Of course, she could be about to drown the boat... :-D

I think someone is about to have a very bad day. I love the little details of the sea creatures and the waves. I notice the guy in the boat is very tiff backed, he's not cowering in fear, he's looking her in the eyes.
Misselthwaite
I figured him for the heroic type - his sidekick is the one cowering in the back of the boat with the kippers and wine :-)

GORGEOUS!
