Feeling a little Squirrely at the moment, so a shot of Squirrel will do.
Not going to say much here. Started with BW photography many years back (Petri 35mm range-finder). Read a magazine article that said: Shoot! Film is cheap! Took that to heart. With digital photography one can recyle the film ad nauseum.
Interests vary greatly. Generally attracted to large, noisy machinery. Especially older stuff. Very fond of travel shots; particularly new aspects of familiar places and things.
PW is usually done with Corel 9 DCE. Seems to have the power of much more expensive software suites at a fraction of the price.

I am so pleased that you told us about Clara Barton, I was wondering who she was. Brave lady.

There is a television series on over here called Mercy Street set in Alexandria, Virginia. Basically across from Washington, D.C. and the period is early Civil War. It centers around the staff of a hotel taken over for use as a hospital. Some of it is very much "MASH in the Civil War" but it is also serious enough when it needs to be. A tad overmelodramatic regarding slavery, etc. but still a good story. ISTR that one of the main characters got her marching order early on from Clara Barton. Her house (one of them) is still standing and we may have to check it out if the weather holds off on humidity. Another character got her training under Florence Nightingale during the Crimea War and she is bucking to be "Hot Lips Houlihan" in the series. The actress plays a good part and has multiple sides to the character. Always something different each episode.
