Trying out to see how real Genesis 8 can look Iwith ray render. The main problem as I always think is the eyes never look real Ive bought most of the different eyes available but they never look real enough to me (if compared to a portrait photo ) Ive not seen a Daz studio portrait whos eyes could pass for real , some very good ones but they still dont look real enough to me .This portrait is using project eyeray eyes. The second thing that never quite looks right (at least to me ) are ears they always seem a bit off somehow.Oh well enough complaining for now .Thanks for taking time to take a look and read my moan.

That is a very different type of render from you :) ! Yes, V8 eyes are messed up by Daz.
You can try to brighten up the iris a bit. Select V8 and then go to the surfaces tab. There expand on the V8 and look for 'Surfaces'. Expand that and you will be able to see an item called 'irises'. Select that. I think you should be able to fiddle with the setting in there to see if you can make it better. 'Gloss' settings might be a good place to start. Eyes are hard to get right. I have spent countless hours on them in my octane materials editor. Iris, Cornea and Sclera are important. If you want an overall glossy feel, play with the EyeMoisture.
For most part, I find the ears ok. I adjust the shape of it using the shape options or in ZBrush.

The eyes have no soul. I have always wondered how to get the look of "alive" in any 3D model. It just isn't possible. There is no soul....

Alot of times rendered eyes need some photoshop help. Not a fan of the New G/V8 but for a basic portrait, this is not bad
