I don't know if I've even commented on work like this in your gallery: It seems very new to me. (Real eye poppers, since I've mainly commented on your photography and fractals.) A fascinating, mysterious scene, conjuring all kinds of untold stories. The man seems like a medieval warrior, though perhaps of ideas and spirit rather than actual war. Love his scaled collar, sash, etc, to match the scales of his snake/scepter. And the woman is like a sorcerer who has powers we don't know about. You have birds all over this piece, with beautiful smoke in a few places, one coming out of what I assume is her book of spells...Enchanting and magical, and I recognize Steve's touch in that background (and I see he totally approves of it). Very finely done, and the mist on the bottom gives it an illumined, dreamy touch.
