Description

This is my first upload ever! I tried to make a realistic scene, to have an alternative for expensive photography! Please criticise my work (and be honest!) I need your info/tips/hints and tricks to evolve to the next level! Thanks in advance, Jurgen!

Wow- very nice. The eye tends to travel to the very bright area top leftish, so I'd reduce lighting level overall a bit and locally top left- probably 'cheat' in Photoshop. Nice texturing overall, but the grid pattern on the stairs looks a bit large to me. As a composition, I'd crop a tiny bit of ceiling off the top of the image.

Welcome jurgenvg. Neat design here, I like it. I cant give you tips unfortunately since I dont use Cinema. However there are some things that I spotted here : 1. The light setting is too bright white makes some objects have lesser volumes (perhpas you could change some of their colours to sthrengten their appreance), 2. the glass table needs to leave a caustic trail on the floor when light passes through it. 3. the stair needs a bit deeper bum setting. 4. the plasma tv screen looks doesnt right there, perhaps the image colours are too strong compared to the frame, i dunno. 5. the door on the 1st floor looks dull. 6. are they some artifacts upper right where the walls meet the ceiling? Other than that cool job jurgenvg :)

This is good....... As with the others, I suggest a little 'less' with the lighting...... And another small point - perhaps the scene 'outside' the window should be a little less 'clear' or bright... It looks a bit like a poster. BUT overall, this is very pleasant.... keep it up.

I think that the lighting is excellent. You can see that it's caused by a really big window. :)

Great start. I like this piece very much. My first impression is that the lighting is a little blown out... turn off some of the lights perhaps? And second, maybe use a glass texture for the window. If you want to use a backdrop of "water/sky" or a "sunset"... you can open a "sky/sea" (whatever) image in Photoshop, magic wand & cut the window out, then copy and paste the image behind the cut (making sure to Inverse the image so it is behind the main one). Then move the main image around until you get it where you want it... and voila! I used this technique in my piece "le repos". At the end of the long hall was a window which I placed a "sunset" behind. Keep up the good work Jurgen -Susan
