My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Great capture!

I love the light on that beautiful wood floor.

A clever indirect way to capture the beauty of light passing through stained glass. I tried trifocals a few years ago & they gave me vertigo - after a week of trying to adjust, I gave up. My vision issues aren't as severe as yours. so I get by with using strong magnifiers for reading & computer use & none at all the rest of the time. My eye doctor thinks I'll probably need cataract surgery in two or three years, which I'll just deal with when the time comes...

It is very nice!

Outstanding capture! I love the richness of these deep tones.
As for trifocals, i believe they are one step more than our brains can adjust to at one time 😳

Wow.... excellent results here!

Here we go again. Why didn't I think of that? LOL. Dappled stained-glass light on an antique, hardwood pew and floor. Wonderful, artistic vision here, plus fine photographic results.

MAN! This is SO beautiful! Thanks for posting and the info with it. Glad to hear you're getting along well with your new glasses!
As for the Rendo problem - it struck just as I was posting a photo of Swedish coins. I immediately e-mailed admin, who contacted tech support. Rendo was back by this morning. A great thanks to their swift service.

Very pretty. Nice capture of the light.

Just look at all those wonderful colors! How lovely - great find and capture, Tara!
I hear ya - I don't even like using bifocals... I always get 2 pairs of glasses - one for normal use, and one for computer / reading. I've got us both appointments with the optometrist (loooong overdue) 2 days after my next surgery. By the time I retire, I'm not gonna want to get within 20 miles of a hospital.....
Glad they got that issue resolved... Apparently it had something to do with an Amazon AWS feature expiring.. Those uploads never made it to the server, I would assume.

I leave the lights to the fake fireplace on at night because it makes a great nightlight.

The interesting light-play gives this image a spiritual and mysterious feel, like I imagine a miracle to be...
I am so happy for you, that there is now and at long last, a resolution for your eyesight, ;)) it can a be a growing problem... as I only know too well from my own past and personal experiences, except yours were in 'triplicates' !!! ;( on the upside, I think I would much rather put with 2 pairs of spectacles as well - and I do wish you well in the future...

A beautiful and very well seen image Tara.

I like your post Tara, but reading about your glasses make me think to what it has come with me. I still read without glasses and most of the time I can see what is in front of me. But sometimes I have to use a magnifying glass, just like my mother used to do.It is difficult for me to read fine print most of the time and I will go back to the Optometrist to see if I need to get my eyes checked again to have cataract surgery (for distance) performed or if last Decembers figures are still good to go. Not being able to see well is a real pain

Such a nice atmosphere and lighting
