Description
Further to the shot of the Noordurn, here is its near relation the de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver.
Known at Duxford as the 'bling Beaver', due to extremely plush interior! The outside isn't bad either.
980 of these served with the U.S. Army in Korea and onwards. This one was thrashed by the British Army.

Nice shot Rob. There were still a number of Beavers on active duty when I first entered the Army in 1962. There was also a bigger brother called the Otter. Bush pilots in Alaska love them to this day.

An excellent shot Rob.

Brother? Or cousin? Yupp. I recall what bmac62 said about Alaska bush pilots, but didn't know it was this plane! Keep up the good work! Got an interior shot of the "bling"? :-)

Both are sturdy and reliable light transports. My Dad flew in a Norseman in Germany in '45.

They remained in the US Army after it was caused to give up any larger fixed wing to the Air Force at the beginning of the Viet Nam War. This shot shows in grand pose what was not drag on a Beaver. Just hanging out in the air stream.

Must show bling. Please.
