Description

The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial in Washington, DC, is made up of four sections, or rooms, each symbolizing one of his terms as president. If you go there, it would be helpful to read about the memorial before you go, because a lot of the symbolism is obscure, at best. I believe this wall has to do with the Great Depression. It was made to be both tactile and visual, in order to be accessible to people with visual disabilities as well as to the general population. This group of students seemed to be enjoying the content, as well as the interesting lighting. Me? Bewitched, bothered and bewildered. Bewitched by the quality of the low-light night shot, bothered...not at all, bewildered by the tactile metal work on the wall behind the kids. What a fun night that was...worth every penny:)

Very atmospheric low light shot, as if they were walking around an underground tomb. At first glance, I thought these people were walking around with flashlights & I thought "What a cool idea for a museum - have a bunch of dark, hard to find exhibits & give everyone a flashlight & let them explore"...

My God....... They're actually looking at the displays in the museum! And not texting someone on their phones! I only see one girl holding a phone, and it looks like she's taking a photo.. There may be hope for our species, yet.....

This is a really brilliant shot. You captured this low light perfectly. Dont think I could do that. But what is on the wall, made me curious. Your words "Me? I was all about the lighting" Made me giggle, both because what you meant, but also because you "sounded" exactly like a lady in a game, I play called "Fallout 4". Yup, I am a gamer :-P
