Not exactly "poised and ready for action," but more like just plain ready for anything. Kat moved, seemingly without a care in the world, picking her way over bits of rubble, humming a vague, "Itsy Bitsy Spider." She bobbed, skipped, and did a child's version of ballet, lost in her own reality. A noise to the right - perhaps a barely noticeable change in the breeze that rustled the weeds climbing the sides of the ruined building, and with a fast but easy motion, Kat leapt, twirled, and flung her sharpened chrome steel claws and a flash of flame at her would be assassin. The flame missed its mark, but had done its job. The black cloaked figure twisted to avoid the flame and into the path of the claws. Five thuds sounded in rapid succession as the steel eliminated its target, and a sigh as the body slumped. Kat paused for a moment as if puzzled...shrugged, then went back to a sort of skipping Hop Scotch routine while whistling, "The Cat Came Back." - This is Katja, now fit to G8F.
