after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve

Clever idea! I like the concept of her former mortal self now being a lost soul or specter of some sort. You could make a story out of that. Curing a vampire by uniting their lost soul with their undead body.

Well, I'm back for one more. (I couldn't stay away...) You post surreal images from time to time, and you do it with total ease. The mirror gives this an air of "what's real, what's not"---even though the mirror clearly reflects her real boyfriend. We don't know if he's leaving her for good, or just leaving for a short while; but it works either way, because she's reaching to be felt as he fades away. I love the idea of her outfit and boots in the mirror---you've got the very tops of her boots here, a really cool choice---and I love that the boyfriend has a shirt of the same intense red as his girlfriend. And her platinum hair is a stunning contrast to her reds.
Her former self seems to hold--or offer---a key: What's it for, we wonder? A key to keeping him? A key to uniting her former and present self? It's all very mysterious, and the image resonates with it. Your dark stone walls, the dark wood, the dark curtains and the pillars (in the mirror) all add to the mystery. And, is that a little demon in the class covering on the table? And you have old books and cobwebs...Another of your mysterious mood pieces, again with your unerring sense of hue; and it leaves us with unanswered questions about love, esp with your title. Maybe her vampire self doesn't want to be rejected by the man and her old self is offering a way 'out'...she's trying to reach beyond space and time to reach him. A whole story here! Beautiful and evocative.
