Description

For the illustration class we had to take our fantasy animal and illustrate a current theme with it. I chose to illustrate the ongoing refugee crisis in Europe, hoping to show the feelings of both sides. I didn't know that Renderosity has a genre section for this kind of artwork. To enhance the mood of the image I decided to stick to pen, pencil and charcoal, only adding a minimal amount of color. Tried to use the same techniques digitally as I would have used when doing it on paper.

I think you have chosen your minimalistic colours well, they fit perfectly into the rest of the image. You have certainly achieved the emotion very well. It is hard to imagine in the real world what the refugees must be going through. Well done! hugs Jane xx
