Description

Five Mustangs at Legends this year including these two which came over from America. P-51B-1 'Berlin Express' is a very rare version, owned by the famous Stallion 51 folks in Florida, its in the marking of a Mustang B that chased a Bf 109G under the Eiffel Tower (I always wonder why no-one mentions the German pilot as he actually flew under first lol). I have a shot of Berlin taking of to come. P-51D 'Frenesi' comes from Comanche Fighters in Texas,it is a war veteran and promptly went U/S on the day I was there. lol (It should be noted that I saw the first people (Russians) actually thrown out of Legends for climbing on these aircraft I mean.....WTF!!!) Flying or not, my lens take great shots... Almost no work to get this shot. Rob

Thanks for telling about the flight under the Eiffel Tower. I wondered what became of the plane and pilot. Now, what became of the Me109 and its pilot? Did either of them survive the war? Nice shot of the Frenesie. 9 Germans shot down, and 2 Japs. That makes the pilot a true ace! I really like this photo. Glad your camera was functioning! Keep up the good work! :-)

Oh, how I envy those lucky guys who are in the lucky situation to fly one of these "Cadillacs of the skies"...
