“Some maiden in distress? Which one? Do tell.” “Um, hi, doll - well, I thought that famous Snow White I’ve heard so much about.” “The odd little creature who lives with all those little men and a house full of cute animals? Are you serious?” “Well, then - there’s this girl locked up in a tower by an old witch -“ “Oh, you mean that silly Rapunzel? Well, she’s just had her hair styled, cut and permed - so there’s no way you can climb up into her tower.” “So that leaves the girl in the castle back there.” “Ah yes, our so-called Sleeping Beauty? True, she’s asleep - or more than likely she’s in some sort of catatonic state that no amount of kissing will snap her out of. And of course, there’s no guarantee, should you actually manage to wake her up, that she won’t instantly revert to her real age of - well, hundreds of years!” “But -“ “And just think of the terrible mess your pretty uniform will be in if you try battling through past all those thorns and brambles; all spoilt, what a pity!” ”Yeah, well then -“ “You could, of course, consider rescuing me from this tree. I might be so much more grateful than those silly minxes that everyone talks about. And you could stay here for a while, you know; no need to rush off scouring the countryside for maidens in distress when you could have one here who would be so distressed if you should wander away from her.” “Never heard of a maiden trapped in a tree before.” “Well you’ve never lived lived till you’ve found one and rescued her …”

Chances are there's a monster down that tree trunk puppeteering this beauty with the tip of its tongue and it wants you to get closer to the tree so it can swallow you both.
