First it's the dangerous pet. Some day, it will be the dangerous boyfriend. I don't think parenting in a fantasy setting would be any different than usual.
I think I feel sorry for the dragon... a determined child is a force of nature, and reality has no impingement on what they think!

Somehow I feel reminded of Game of Thrones. I like the perspective very much, it adds a lot of life to your image. The expression of the girl is also very convincing. You could probably soften the light a little bit as it is very hard and casts really dark shadows.

... so as soon as I had time, I changed my shadow settings and re-rendered :-) They were at 80% intensity and 10% softness, so I changed them to 60% and 20%. I didn't initially see a lot of difference, but on side-by-side, I could see it on her sleeves and on the dragon where his tail-shadow crosses over him. Hmm. I think you're right :-)
