*sigh* Another in a long line of "almost but not quite" images. Probably won't be posting in a while. I'm really depressed by the amazing quality of images you people generate on a regular basis and my inability to create images that I like as much. Place I work has undergone a massive reorganization and I've been demoted just when I was finally pulling things together - office politics at its finest. Really feel like crawling into a bottle somewhere.
Sorry, not what you wanted to read, I'm sure. Just had to unload somewhere....

I think this is excellent... the lighting in particular! I've been there as far as your real-life issues... I got canned because I was the only one in my office who didn't hang out in the copy room and gossip half the day.

I know that song too well. I was kicked out of the company I loved. After almost 4 years (not a long time, I know), after knowing my boss as a friend for over 20 years. Schemes galore in my story. I feel you! And hey, I don't think you need to feel sorry for unloading here!
Avout workflow that is not flowing at all? I know that song, too. It can be frustrating to say the least. Whenever I find myself in the situation that I want want want to do a picture, and it just does not want to materialize on my screen: I do something else. Play a game, watch movies. I just go as far away from arts as I possibly can. And if this certain urge arises again... then I go back to my PC and start up DAZ or Photoshop. It sounds so clichee, I know. But for me it -sometimes- does the trick. And most of all: do not set yourself under the pressure to dish out artwork in the quantity other artists can do. It's -sorry- bullshit. This is not a death race. Embrace your ideas to te fullest and publish them when you feel they're done. In the end it's you who should love your work most. Not anyone else. Just you.
Getting positive feedback is just a sweet bonus. So here's my compliment: I love this orc lady! And you did a tremendous job!
About your work: I just now take a stroll through your gallery (thank you for commenting on my "Downfall" pic), and you got some amazing pieces here! I guess my box of fantastic arts will have quite some new pieces added!
This one if fabulous! I love orcs, call me a weirdo, but I also like orc gals very much :D She's feisty, sexy, bold. I'd love to accompany her on any adventure! I'd even be the tank (ugh, I hate being tank, but what can you do when a lovely orc lady asks a favour?) :)
