Description
First I wanted to delete this photo because it did not impress me so much.
The colors were not so nice and the sky was very bright. Then I edited the photo with "NIK's HDR Efex" and i was very impressed from the result.
I can recommend the NIK Collection (it is for free !!!) to everyone.
Thank you very much for viewing, commenting and rating.

I like the clouds. as if a storm is on the horizon. a free little program called Fast Stone Viewer can do wonders with photos too dark or too light

The sky in this impressive capture is definitely enthralling and majestic. Wonderful postwork on this.

It looks like the NIK filters brought out what was already in the photograph, but which needed to be 'coaxed out'. Maybe this is what you saw, when you took the photo, but you couldn't conquer the problem of darkness with the camera alone. (Ansel Adams worked days to bring out special light and dark, in his darkroom.)
The clouds are just beautiful, with wonderful texture and silky blues and whites. And they're met with that heavy dark line of trees, and (of course) the tranquil water below. It looks like a storm is coming, and you caught this in the calm moment before it opens up and pours. A beautiful result, Christian. Fine work coaxing out a beautiful shot.
