Hello. Boondock Sector is an anthropomorphic parody of Max Raymond's "Flash Gordon"
with some inspiration from Edgar Rice Burrough's "John Carter of Mars", and a dash of
"Forbidden Planet" thrown in along with my own ideas as well.
Renderosity has been a wonderfull test bed for my ideas, and the comments and support I have
recieved from other artists has helped me so much!
I have started my comic strip at last on Drunk Duck, so when the current chapter is done here
I will continue to post random works of art as long as inspiration lasts.
To the handful of dear friends who have looked at and read this work, my undying gratitude
Ed.

OK, so they took a bit of a $&it kicking... I hope the auto-doc can fix her up! Twice a week is awesome, but I am happy to see the next page whenever it comes out!
EdKline
Yeah, they got a bloody nose, but they'll pull through. And the auto-doc can paste anything back together..........At least that's what the manufacturer claims..........

Impressive and tense
EdKline
Thanks, the first shots have been fired, but there are a lot more to follow.....

I haven't been following your story, "Storm over Whoomera", but I do rather like the style and format of your artwork. It seems to bear a resemblance to the artwork of Rich Corben. Perhaps you have heard of him? The comic artist of Den and Densaga fame. I noticed this when I saw a few of your earlier panels. Keep up the great work. Maybe one of these days I will actually go back and read the story.
EdKline
Thank you, that's a high compliment, I was influenced a great deal by his work in Heavy metal. Very imaginative, but I have a long way to go. I try to use the artwork to help move the story along, but it sometimes comes off confusing, and the lighting and backgrounds are inconsistent, among other things....

excellent - great dialog and layout
EdKline
Thanks, I'll keep trying.

Very cool!

Thanks.

I'm a bit confused - are we at Cobb's home base or on the visitors flying contraption? If it's the latter, may I assume all this is collateral damage from a strike on the insects base or vehicle? This is so cool. Now to see what happens next! Will the humans create mayhem, or will they focus on saving their butts? I can't wait till the next page is posted. Good job with the backgrounds. Yes, I see a bit of Den's influence, BUT, you have a far better background than Den ever had. This much due to your access to computers. Keep up the good work! :-)
My rat-ing - 6 suffocating little rats! Cough! Cough!
EdKline
It's Cobb's outpost. The outpost was damaged by an attack by the bugs/Vord. The humans/monkeys are trying to fix things, and fight back. Thanks, I liked Den. I got into computer art because it was taking me to long to draw and paint each scene, etc. and I was getting lazy.....

Yeah, you're stuff does remind me of Richard Corben's Heavy Metal stuff. I loved that magazine back in the late 70's and early 80's. There were some great artists in there.
EdKline
Yeah, really awesome stuff, did a lot to inspire me...Some good memories too.

The heat is rising, and things are getting pretty serious - it's good to see the brothers kicking in and helping when it's needed most. They wanted adventure - looks like they'll get a lifetime's worth!
Awesome page, Ed!
EdKline
Boy, no kidding, it's over103 here!........Oh, you mean in the story.........Whoops.
Yeah, and it's gonna get even hotter, the boys are OK. Well, at least one of them is..... And yeah, they got their money's worth already!
Thanks Rod.
