Yeah, I'm with a number of your commenters, and Steve started it off just right. (When I first saw this, there hadn't been any comments yet, and today I see them: Steve got it, right out of the box.) Really powerful piece, not only for the highly expressive pose of the woman, draped with that mysterious rich-black sheet (or robe, or even stole), but juxtaposed with that striking treasure chest, with gold and silver chess pieces, with that sparkling bottle, and the book, etc. And a cosmic light in the window, and beautiful flowers over the chest (well, they're behind it, but compositionally they're right on top of it) with the only real greens and blues in the piece. And a cat looking on in curiosity. So much going on here. Terrific composition, esp as you did it with several individual pieces. And the drapery on the left complements that on the woma. A packed, expressive dream...
