Hi, I'm Andrea, and I'm interested in creatures and plants both wild and tamed, and people of all sorts. I only use a compact digital camera ,as I love being able to get it into a back pocket, and not have to cart heavy kit about. I carry a Panasonic Lumix TZ series, binoculars and a hand lens almost everywhere. Most of my outings are with the dogs so I only use point and shoot.
I am getting the hang of Photoshop, thanks to some very kind folk on RR!
I have a wildlife garden in Bournemouth, Dorset, in the UK, and spend a lot of time there . I retired from teaching art to teenagers a while ago.
I'm now getting some good results with my digi compacts; it took me a while to make the switch from my old film camera, an 1960 ish Pentax Spotmatic, but the mistakes are much cheaper!
I have 4 lodgers, 3 dogs and a parrot who, as at 2017, I have had 40 years.
I has so far had 19 dogs, mostly rescues.

Fine shot. My wife loves to throw things out, while I worry that we might need them someday. Should we throw away old keys if we can't remember what they unlock or keep them just in case? My argument is that they don't take up very much room, so why not hold onto them? This appealing image gives me one more argument - I can use them as subjects for a photo...

Having seen your talent on Rendo of things done in the past, I have no doubt that you will make an impressive piece of art from the keys.

In a pinch I imagine they could make a formidable weapon. I also have a drawer full of keys inherited from my parents. I have no idea what they are for either.

That are many keys Andrea. Your house was not by chance a prison in the first place?
Beautiful capture.

Flip there are a lot of keys there. I am sure you will be able to come up with something for the others.

One of the mod-cons I'm quite enamored with is the electronic door lock on our place in Texas. We have keys, and keep a set in the office at the park for emergencies, but the lock is a push-button combination affair. That allows us to change the combination if we want to, give it out to friends who need to get in for some reason, and never worry about losing the key! Of course it's got a battery, so if that dies we can't get in. LOL! That's what the keys in the front office are for. :P Yours are prettier, but ours is lighter! :)
