Ok, one more...(I wanted to comment on your latest---MsHedgehog Garden, which is a delight!---but I Had to do this one tonight.) I love the turn-the-lens-around play of this piece. And that the camera shows a model-like woman when it should be showing a (very) dark child's eye. Maybe we're getting a shot of what he has in his imagination. (She looks like a modern version of a famous Renaissance painting ((Botticelli's Birth of Venus, here: http://lib.rus.ec/i/56/596656/i_039.jpg)) Ahe's the center woman, in case you don't know the painting; but you've probably seen it many, many times.) Whatever he sees, it's a delightful image of a child discovering the camera for the first time, peering into it with intensity, as if peering into the secrets of the universe. (Love how the sun-guard nearly covers half his face.) And he's riding on a very accepting dog (my childhood dog would've killed me if I tried this!) surrounded by a fairy tale scene, with toadstools, ladybugs, beautiful flowers and luminous green and yellow light that pours into the scene like honey. Love his hair too, and blue striped outfit; a total delight...And btw, that looks like a really good camera. Fine job juxtaposing the real dog into this beautiful fantasy, too. Wonderful work, Dee, but that goes without saying. I'll comment on more when I have more time. Your art's a total delight.
