Your title is just right, and it makes me think as well. Mostly what I think is, "Get that bird off the easel, it's gonna poop on the canvas!!"

It was an exhibition - City of Paris' Museum of Modern Art - on Balthus, Derain and Giacometti, three friends painters/sculptors, well known in France. Quite interesting.
