To me this looks like the top of ... let's say "the tree of worlds". Feels if the branches and leaves are mountains, glaciers, rocks. This tree contains every biome one could imagine, showing off natures creative ways.

Random you say? Well, it's the random things that strike us speechless, sometimes. :)
