My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

This is superb, and would make a great challenge for an art class!

Outstanding capture Tara. God bless.

Beautiful! It's a shame buildings are no longer built with this type of character.

Fantastic and the b&w works very well...

I agree with Bev. is this something like the one that Bill has you on?
Great capture

Wonderful light & texture study. I like the simplicity of it too - I can picture you in front of whatever large building this is a part of & zeroing in on this small detail & framing it carefully...

Excellent shot T!!

The monochrome look works very well.
Beautiful capture Tara.

Of course, if this was ours I'd have to be out there cleaning it up:) Like your crop and resulting composition. Every time I see something like this I say to myself...I should do more of this and then don't...

A wonderful use of mono Tara.

Black and white was a perfect choice. It really highlights the age and weathering and the light and shadows are great.

Love that abstract too. It's so strange that only XIXth century buildings are still there in your small towns. It will remain probably nothing of the XXIth century.

A lovely study in form and composition, Tara! There are many treasures to be found in older communities. Even utilitarian things like streetlights had form and grace.

Fantastic shot!

the 'decisive moment' in this shot is your crop: You made a statement of the lowest portions of a pillar, and its ornery, don't-move-me-I-won't-budge presence in front of that pedestrian brick wall. The on-one-side composition makes it bulge out at us (a centered composition would take away from the power of the pedestal). And you have deep shadow on the right, showing how architecture 'hides' things as well as reveals them. Very sensitive to the speech of architecture, really sensitive and articulate work.
