Thank you for thinking of me, Barb, it made my day. I lived in Worcester for a few years (in the 60's/early 70s), and I got used to these New England facades, esp the old mills and other industrial buildings which looked so much like this. This may be residential, but it feels like those buildings I saw all over Worcester and so many other towns and cities in N. England. You caught the starkness, the decay, that oven-red brick---and, here, a surprising bright yellow (with terrific decay showing the red underneath). And an old lantern, some ivy, etc. It's almost an abstract. And the dark windows look like they're on abandoned buildings, even though that air conditioner and some curtains, etc, tell us people live here. A really clear blue sky in such contrast...What a stark, characterful capture: It's got a Hopper look (the painter), it's very mysterious. Beautiful capture, Barb...thank you so much for this, I really appreciate it.
