Description

A sunbathing Inachis io on some Phlox flowers this morning before it clouded over. A tricky picture due to the high contrast and impossible to correct in the time I allow myself for postwork !

Yeah, whatever lighting problems you had, you got one glorious photo out of it. You used the over-exposed white as a design element, and it sets off this beautiful insect like no studio setup could. Gorgeous light and color. And the butterfly is so 'present' and regal, with such eye popping color texture. A totally beautiful piece.
