Description
A superb archer, NarieFah can make a seemingly impossible shot look easy. There is much skill involved but she also employs many techniques: Becoming one with her environment, using slow controlled breathing, releasing the arrow between heart beats and, her secret weapon, biting her tongue. What??? you say.
That's right, biting her tongue. NarieFah doesn't know why, only that it works and it turns out she is right. Much of your brain is devoted to your tongue. It is a huge muscle that is constantly moving. Your brain must keep track of it, keep it out of the way of your teeth, control its movement to help you swallow, and of course process the enormous sensory information the tongue is constantly putting out. Sticking your tongue out and biting it reduces its movement and cuts down on this torrent of information, leaving more brain-power available for NarieFah to concentrate on the shot.
