I am a graphic designer, mostly caught up with routine work on packaging, catalogues, manuals etc. Far too little time to be really creative - but it happens once in a while, when my boss and my family have had their (large) share of my time.
I started the "old" way with pen and knife, rulers and that kind of stuff. Also used to draw with pencils and crayons. 1992 I started doing design on a computer. Photoshop 3, Freehand (4 I think, but I'm not sure), Illustrator 4. In the mid 90ties I worked a bit with RDS and Poser 3. Then came Bryce, Carrara, Daz Studio, Hexagon and Blender. Also fooled around with Terragen and some other 3d stuf , like Truespace and of late Vue Pioneer

Nice combination of old and new stuff. A lot of times I find the old objects to be good in terms of shape but with very poor textures and for those I put new textures on them and they look as good as new. Nice environment.

Basically what I did with the old stuff was to apply the iRay Uber base shader, and then for some make minor adjustments Some of the plants might need betterr leave textures though and bark textures can be worked on also.
