If this and "Shunned" are kind of a mini-series... if this is the first one before she got shunned, hmm, maybe she went overboard with that light magic and "the boss" doesn't like his servants to rise and shine too much?
On second thought (or third, or fourth, lol... I've been revisiting these two quite some): maybe she's begging to be allowed to stay, but the old man has a bad day and so she got "Shunned" ... for whatever stupid reason. That would paint an even darker image about old mister "pushes clouds", aye?
That's why I'm not religious... you get in trouble far too easy. Damn, I love it when you can interprete and mind-eff with arts. You're the best! Thank you for sharing! Need to run now, before any folks come wielding torches and forks ;D

haha! I have both torches and pitchforks, but never fear, none of them are pointed in your direction ;) I'm about as far from traditional religion as you can get, but, it sure can make for great imagery! As far as your interpretation goes, my brain was leaning towards the latter of your thoughts when I was creating this - you know me! I love the dark :D And yeah, all us good girls wear black ;) thank you!!
