One day it will be overgrown with all the branches. Then it will be a secret hideaway.

I got one, standing on a shelf atop my book case! Santa Fe, it is. Cool to have a real one in one's back yard! Keep up the good work! :-)

Nice to have tracks and trucks. Wonder what sort of air cycle machine is keeping it cool in Summer and warm in Winter? I see Google is looking at separating hot and cold to store electricity. Reminds me of the day as I climbed to the heights of the Raccoon Heights storage experiment my Pinot began to miss as it had on the sea coast near Mobile --- then climbing a freeway slope out of Grand Rapids I saw a bill board for the Harley Hotel and --- silence --- just past Calvin College it seems but my cousin was walled off not to return until he wanted to proselytize a cook taking a break on the rear steps of Win Shuler's.

Nice find. Some of these Pullman cars had an onboard 409 ci diesel truck engine under the floor [undercarriage] that ran AC units. Heat, could be by generated electricity, or more likely, steam from a boiler car in the consist.

Very cool find and photo, Richard! I have to wonder what kind of shape the interior is in. That would make a really cool guest house or studio.

So this is on someone's private property? What a thing to own. ("Everyone: You wanna see our outhouse???") Your shot has a softness, which makes this seem almost like a dream. Like, if we go inside, we may enter a new dimension---a beautiful evocation of the romance of a train-car. And with those opaque windows, it's a big mystery. Plus, you got real grit in the wheels, and I love those shadows on the back end of the car. Terrific capture, esp for anyone who loves the mystery and beauty of trains...
