Photogenic scenes freeze me, as a photographer, because I'm always afraid I'll take the easy route and just let the sight do all the work; or else I'll fuss with it too much, trying to make it "picturesque" or monumental. I noticed the photogenic quality of this as soon as I saw the display version. (It has to be zoomed.) But closeup, you got real detail, real shadow and light interplay, a great yellow-green light, great detail on all the detritus on the lake (against the shor), and so on. It's a very complex shot, and still it glides from one side to the other, effortlessly. Beautiful work. And your crop cuts off some trees so we keep focussed on the horizontals. Beautifully done.
