Description
On the harbour front at Scalloway in the Shetland Islands is a statue of a small fishing boat . This is a memorial to the Norwegian crews of small boats carrying agents and supplies across The North Sea to the resistance in Norway during World War 2 . Many lost their lives during this hazardous work and it is to them that this memorial is dedicated . The name given to these boats making the crossing on a regular base was The Shetland Bus
