I tried today to get a better picture and failed. the trash can is too high for a tripod and it is so hard to hold still a 105 mm Macro with a 2X extender. the little beetle kept moving also which did not help.
at least it's antenna and legs can be seen

This is realy difficult to capture with 210mm macro, better to try even when it dos'nt work ! May be an other time. Even I love your works !

A good effort I often use a monopod as it's more maneuverable than a tripod in these situations

It can be a real challenge trying to get a closeup of something that tiny - especially when the little guy keeps moving around! Still, this is a great macro, Richard! There's certainly enough detail to see what a neat little critter it is.
