I had a clown for breakfast today, so please excuse me for having burst out with laughing after I scrolled down and saw that rose. My very first thought - before scrolling down to the rose - was "wow, Vic adds up on the mysterious character portraits, big time". And then I got to that rose and it instantly reminded me of a guy I met in holidays in Tunesia some 25 years ago: he was always running about the hotel terrace, selling roses. And he was funny, literally. And I'm not sure if he wanted to be funny. So that just made me LOL! :)

That silly memory aside, this image is incredible! Rarely I would feel weird about virtually accepting an offer coming from one sexy gal. No matter if she's hell-sent or a heavenly creature (to be honest: the more twisted, the more femme fatale, the more I am attracted [insert helpless shrug here} ). But this lady... I don't know. There something so sinister about that whole setup. Best I can describe it is: feels like Death comes saying hello. I might be awfully wrong, I know you're quite often giving your images a dark twist, something subtly and deep below the surface, something that the viewer often sees on second of third visit... or sometimes doesn't seem to see at all. But for me, this image has got something really dark and sinister about it.
I love it, but it gives me the creeps. Can I have my straight jacket now and get back to my hole?

YES!! You do know how I like to think artistically. I will totally take that it gives you the creeps! WOOHOO! All I'll say, is wait til you see the second one ;)
And I've told you before! Never apologize. I just think it's freakin awesome that THIS piece took you to THAT memory!! I love it!! And I know that clown - I've had him for dinner before!
