Description

For Mark: a place to sit and relax and reflect - it's been a long hard road for you my friend. You've offered words of comfort when I needed them and now I offer you words, not to take away your pain and sorrow but to ease you through the healing process. I wish you peace and serenity in the coming days, that your soul will be healed. You must find your own path for healing and I know that you will be able to do just that. Be strong my friend and be at peace.

beautiful dedi for Mark, Mike, and I can see you really know his presence and essence here (from what you write here, as well as in your comments). A terrific image for your point---a place to rest. (And I love the photo too---as everyone says, great lighting and shadows.) Everyone who knows Mark knows the light he gives, and he deserves all ours as he deals with this huge wave of losses in so short a time. Your words in my gallery and here and tara's shows you know the healing process well (I remember the dark events you've shared, and remember the deeply touching story of your father), and you express it beautifully for Mark. Much healing Mark: When you're through with all you have to do for your brother, I hope light begins to dawn grandly. You're much appreciated here! Beautifully done, Mike, both in image and words.

I looked at this image and I took it all in. I noticed the P.O.V. and the play of shadows. But the more I looked at it the more one thing became evident. Despite all the holes in it this bench is still pretty strong. And I thought people can be like that. Every loss puts another hole in us and yet here we are.

You know this, Mike. It gets easier to carry but the burden never goes away completely. That’s why I so appreciate your words of comfort and encouragement. In the next few days I will be posting a remembrance for my brother and stepmother. They were better people than I am.
