Description
The Maya calendar consists of several cycles or counts of different lengths. The 260-day count is known to scholars as the Tzolkin, or Tzolk'in. The Tzolkin was combined with a 365-day vague solar year known as the Haab' to form a synchronized cycle lasting for 52 Haab', called the Calendar Round. wikipedia.org/
this is one of the best two versions I have seen. I had a wooden one with more than 1000 pieces of intricate cut with various types of wood that I purchased in Mexico City around 1985. I posted a picture of it many years ago. I took this picture in a Mexican Restaurant in Oklahoma where my sister always eats
this one is 3-4 times larger than the one I had

This is indeed a very fine example of the type. The ones I had seen in 1965 were just tool cuts in clay to make a ceramic example almost like cuneiform.
